Lunch with SatoriSam!
11.29.04 (1:12 pm)   [edit]

I had the most wonderful opportunity today!  I got to meet and have lunch with SatoriSam!  He and his wife are traveling to meetings and family gatherings and weddings, etc.  When I heard that he would be in my town, I absolutely knew I wanted to meet him…coffee, drinks, dinner, lunch, it didn’t matter!

I feel like we had the best time.  Meeting a friend that is a stranger is fun and exciting.  He was all I thought he would be and more.  He is handsome, intelligent and he was worried that we wouldn’t have anything to talk about.  Let me put it this way…I brought my lunch back to the office with me!  We talked like any other friends would talk while having lunch.  There wasn’t enough time, but we made great use of the time we had.

Now I have a friend that I can picture in my mind accurately.  He really isn’t named Sam, but in my heart he always will be, and that makes him A-OK in my book. Now, one day I may get to meet Julia and I certainly am entering my choice of names for the new baby that they are expecting!  Of course, if you know ANYthing about this silly Mimi, you will guess right away that I hope it is SAM!

So, S-Sam, thanks for taking time from your very full itinerary to meet with me.  The pleasure was all mine!  Big hugs to you…
