Tax Day Looms!  Last year at this time I had JUST dropped not just one, but two, very disorganized boxes of paperwork to the accountant!  She sent me the info and I raced around trying to get an extension in the mail.  Then, when the extension expired, I was racing to the post office in the midst of the panic of the threat of ANOTHER hurricane to get my return and payment sent out in time.  The intensity of the stress level I had created for myself was almost unbearable.

This year, I had it back together!  I am so happy and proud of myself.  Not only have my taxes been prepared and sent out, I did not owe money!  First year since my husband passed away!  I actually got a little back.  It made it’s way into my checking account in less than a week. 

So with all this in mind, I am sitting back and being grateful to the forces that be that I am not stressing over this…that I am healing and improving so I can actually focus and accomplish tasks big and small.

To those of you in my previous predicament, I send out big hugs and prayers that you will heal and do better next year.  The one truth I have come to know is that “time marches on” and we must still live and breathe and pay taxes.

What do you say when the introvert in you takes over. Sometimes I get so quiet and self-absorbed that I can’t even stand it! Believe me when I tell you, I have nothing right now worth sharing.  

Oh, why, Oh, why did I cut my hair???? I do this all the time!  You would thing by this time I would learn!  I get so flustered, then my hair on my neck gets all wet and limp…then I get crazy and let some “beautician” that I don’t know cut my hair….I look like a Squirrel!  Then to make matters worse, I wake up late, my office is an hours drive so I have no choice but to wet it and comb it flat cuz I cannot find my stuff to make it spikey!  I am so embarrassed!  If it weren’t for my bountiful bosom I would think I looked like my brother!  He was a handsome man, but I want to think I at least look cute : )
