I just realized that I had my first anniversary with my little house last Friday. Lots of obstacles have been overcome. My life is getting back to a somewhat managable rut. I like my life to be a managable rut. Go, Me!

found out today that i get to go to a workshop in daytona beach and will get to stay in one of the fine resorts and my job pays....yahoo! a sort of, well, the only kind of vacation this mimi will have for a while! first week in october! i can't wait...even though i will be working, there is something about sleeping in a nice hotel room and wandering about the grounds and maybe a quick dip in the pool that is so much fun for me. an added bonus is hanging with my work buddies after work, drinking and eating and just goofing off. so, i am jazzed! a friend will housesit and take care of the puppies so no worries there. so, that was my day and i hope the "high" holds on for a while...feels good to feel good for a change : ) april sends love to all....

Have you ever had something take over and you feel unworthy, useless, like you have nothing to offer and nothing to say. Well, that's seems to be the way it's been for me this last couple of months. I can't put my finger on the cause, but I can tell you that I log in, check in with a few friends, perhaps comment, but my fingers would not reach for the keyboard. I haven't been sick, I haven't been in trouble and April is doing so well. I suppose that Sam's anniversary of his passing (NINE VERY LONG YEARS) and the anniversary of my dear ED, (one sad year) Also, my DIL has a friend, a young woman that she literally grew up with that has gone missing under very suspicious conditions. For some reason, it has grasped my heart and will not leave my mind for a moment. She is a young mother of two and a Lieutenant in Firefighting..i will attempt to include the latest article... September 12, 2006 Divers resume hunt for firefighter BY J.D. GALLOP FLORIDA TODAY Enlarge this image Search continues. Brandy Hall, a 32-year-old mother of two and a volunteer Malabar Fire Department firefighter, has been missing since Aug. 17. A few weeks of sorting through numerous leads -- including following a psychic's tip to search a county park -- Palm Bay detectives today returned to the murky pond where the investigation into Brandy Hall's disappearance began last month. This time, Palm Bay police dive team members were back hunting for more of Hall's Malabar Fire Department gear spotted in the pond by an onlooker as they were refilling it after a search nearly two weeks ago. Since then, the agency has dissected the volunteer firefighter's life, questioning whether she was a victim of foul play or just someone trying to escape a life that officials said had fallen on hard times professionally and personally. "We haven't found a body and that's where we stand right now," said Palm Bay Police Chief William Berger of the case. "It's all subjective, it's all interpretive. It's a suspicious case but until we find a body we don't know something happened or even if she may be using this as an excuse to get away. There are just so many inconsistencies." The mother of two disappeared Aug. 17 after heading home from the Malabar Fire Department about 10:30 p.m. Her waterlogged pickup truck and several items from her bunker gear were recovered from the murky waters of the pond the following day. The dive team returned to the scene today nearly two weeks after rains from Tropical Storm Ernesto and a long Labor Day holiday interrupted the search as city officials pondered whether to drain a large portion of the pond for a second time. Detectives have interviewed family members and fellow firefighters. A 15-member urban search and rescue team from Miami also combed the grassy shoulders of Interstate 95 and the area around the pond, located on the south end of Brevard Community College's Palm Bay campus, using cadaver dogs. Investigators even conducted a four-hour search of Fox Lake Park in Titusville after a psychic contacted police with a belief that evidence could be found in thaT recreational area. The search did not turn up any new leads, but Berger was adamant about the following up on the psychic's tip. "Sometimes you have to be skeptical but anything that would help us is good," Berger said. "We have worked with psychics in the past. I'm not ashamed to get help from anywhere. This is not about ego, it's about getting closure." Police did not disclose the psychic's name but said she was a local woman who contacted investigators first. At least three detectives have been assigned to the case, which is being treated as a homicide since forensics workers found Hall's blood in the cab of her pickup. Detectives have interviewed firefighters from Malabar and Palm Bay along with family members and close friends in hopes of finding out what happened to Hall. Hall, a lieutenant, had talked to at least two people by phone before walking out of the rural fire department. Detectives don't know if someone met her at the pond or if the truck was driven there by another person and then dumped. The following day Hall was supposed to go to an Osceola County court appointment with her husband Jeffrey Hall. Jeffrey Hall, the one-time Osceola County fire chief, was sentenced to 18 months in prison on a cultivation of cannabis charge stemming from involvement in a large marijuana growing operation on the couple's property in Osceola. Brandy Hall was also listed as a co-defendant in the case but the charges were dropped. "Right now we're looking for anyone who can help," Berger said. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Palm Bay police at 321-952-3456. ------------------------- ------------------------- ------------------------- ----- Contact Gallop at 321-242-3668 or jdgallop@flatoday.net Perhaps, if she is still alive, someone out there may know what has happened to her...perhaps this is my way of spreading this news for the benefit of my DIL and all of those missing Brandy and worrying about her, and perhaps this post might help find her for her children...perhaps!
