Out of the blue on Sunday, April had a seizure. We are not certain the whys and the wherefores. I am heartsick. She is worn out, scared and of course, her progress is suffering another set back. I wonder if the pneumonia she had could be a factor? Now she is having to take anti seizure meds and she is tired and weak.
In the last 10 years I have not had any "happy endings" until yesterday. I used to have another male boston terrier. His name is Buster. Back when I was living with April and her wonderful husband, you might remember the dogs attacked her goat...she didn't get angry with me, but she did say I had to do something about the dogs...my two males were always hurting each other and then they hurt the goat. Long story short, I found a good home for one of the males, Buster. Now, I love Buster...I still do. I still think of him as mine. He was stolen or escaped from his new owner's front yard about seven months ago...my uncle finally told me in May. I have felt badly and worried since then. Two evenings ago, my son called..."Mom, so and so from "friends of strays" in st. pete called...they have Buster!" Needless to say, I called my uncle who called Buster's new Daddy...we were all ecstatic! The next morning I called, gave permission for my uncle to pick him up and he has since been returned to the loving arms of his new Daddy! I could go on and on about the conversations we all had, but suffice it to say, the only one happier than me and my Uncle and the Daddy is Buster! He found his way back home after 7 months...I wonder if he will ever tell us about his big adventure?? : )
You Are The Devil
You don't represent evil, but you do represent the animalistic side of humans.
You demonstrate what happens when we listen to our first instincts.
At times you tend to be materialistic and hedonistic, giving in to temptation.
Admit it, you're guilty of acting first - and forgetting to think later!
Your fortune:
Right now, you may be having a difficult time as a result of choices you have made.
You need to think about what's important in your life, and discover what chains you down.
It is the time to acknowledge your faults and take steps to overcome them.
It's also the time to let go of any fears or inhibitions that are holding you back.
I have some truly great news for you. In a world where newspapers tend to report the most negative news -- car wrecks, celebrity scandals, and all the rest -- we're often left wondering "Where's all the good news?"

Jake, the rancher went one day,
To fix a distant fence.
The wind was cold and gusty;
The clouds rolled gray and dense.
As he pounded the last staples in
And gathered his tools to go,
The temperature had fallen;
The wind and snow began to blow.
When he finally reached his pickup,
He felt a heavy heart;
From the sound of that ignition,
He knew it wouldn't start!
So Jake did what most of us would do,
Had we been there
He humbly bowed his balding head
And sent aloft a prayer.
As he turned the key for one last time,
He softly cursed his luck.
They found him three days later,
Frozen stiff in that old truck.
Now Jake had been around in life
And done his share of roaming.
But when he saw Heaven, he was shocked --
It looked just like Wyoming !
Of all the saints in Heaven,
His favorite was St. Peter.
(Now, this line ain't really needed,
But it helps with rhyme and meter)
So they set and talked a minute or two,
Or maybe it was three.
Nobody was keeping score --
In Heaven time is free.
"I've always heard," Jake said to Pete,
"That God will answer prayer,
But one time when I asked for help,
Well, HE just plain wasn't there."
"Does God answer prayers of some,
and ignore the prayers of others?
That don't seem exactly square --
I know all men are brothers."
"Or does he randomly reply,
Without good rhyme or reason?
Maybe, it's the time of day,
The weather or the season."
"Now I ain't trying to act smart,
It's just the way I feel.
And I was wondering, could you tell me --
What the heck's the deal?!"
Peter listened patiently,
And when old Jake was done,
There were smiles of recognition,
And he said, "So, you're the one!!"
"That day! Your truck; It wouldn't start,
And you sent your prayer a flying,
You gave us all a real bad time,
With hundreds of us all trying."
"A thousand angels rushed,
To check the status of your file,
But you know, Jake,
We hadn't heard from you, in quite a long while."
"And though all prayers are answered,
And God ain't got no quota,
He didn't recognize your voice,
And started a truck in Minnesota !"
