People want to hear what they want, when they want (the sooner, the better) and they don't tolerate anything else. posted by: LadyG (reply) post date: 01.18.07 (12:21 am) People can be very rude mimi and its so sad. I am glad that you got a chance to go. posted by: PastorDave (reply) post date: 01.18.07 (6:39 am) I'm thinking that Rod Stewart has been singing forever. I mean forever. I haven't kept up with his music, but seems I've noted somewhere that he tried a different style for a while. Wonder how that went? My wife likes the Beach Boys, who have to be at least ten years older than Stewart. I can envision a multiple concert featuring your guy, Rollings Stones, Beach Boys, Paul McCartney, Cat Stevens, etc. They would be up on stage with canes, walkers, and oxygen. You and I and several thousand more would be in the audience and in our wheelchairs, humming the lyrics and sipping Ensure. After the grand finale, we'd all throw our false teeth onstage. Oh, and we've got to throw BJ Thomas in there, somewhere. posted by: unmutual (reply) post date: 01.18.07 (8:43 am) I feel your disgust with the crowds. I saw a lot of it when I worked the occasional concert.. people treat performers like they do a television show. posted by: surrogate (reply) post date: 01.18.07 (4:46 pm) Glad you had a good time. People can be cads. I think the concert-goers in Florida need to spend some time in the gift shop of the Casadega Hotel, maybe buy something to calm their spirits. posted by: mimi (reply) post date: 01.19.07 (3:59 am) Reply to: PastorDave What a "visual"! lolololol! good one! xoxox posted by: lorischuster (reply) post date: 01.21.07 (7:54 am) I'm so glad you had a nice time with your son... a nice and happy break from all of the difficulties you've had lately. people are rude...it has gotten to the point that I'm surprised when people demonstrate common consideration. posted by: lostin2007 (reply) post date: 01.22.07 (9:51 pm) I'm glad you had fun. Sorry you had to deal with rude people. People's manners are non-existent these days. |
